Replacement of Core Banking System – Bank in New York

Rumbline’s project manager planned and led a project to replace a Core Banking System, payments, front office, customer system, and to build up a data bank for a bank in New York. The high level of complexity in the system setup was among the challenges, as well as steering the project in different time zones and with different cultural differences. The project involved resources from Asia, Europe and the US and involved as many as 100 people.

There was a fixed deadline given that existing systems expired shortly after the planned start-up date. This challenge was handled successfully since the project could work 24/5 thanks to it being spread over three time zones. This meant delivery could be assured in shorter calender time. The project also introduced 24-hour operations at the bank in Sweden where a main part of the systems were hosted.
